Independent testing, backed by a century of building Kerala.
Matter Material Testing and Research Laboratory Pvt. Ltd is a fully independent, professional testing and technical services provider — and a subsidiary of ULCCS, one of Asia's largest workers' cooperatives.
Making sure every material we certify is safe and of remarkable quality
We serve the growing demand from industry and from government and semi-government departments and institutions, working in line with global standards and the latest testing technology.
Most of the construction materials and field NDT tests we perform are technically accredited by NABL. As a subsidiary of ULCCS, our purpose is to make sure that every material and product we test and certify is safe, and of remarkable quality in its end use.
The ULCCS story
Inspired by social reformer Vagbhatananda, a small group registered a cooperative on 13 February 1925 to give working people an identity of their own. It grew into the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society — today the first choice for building Kerala's roads, highways, bridges, flyovers and multi-storey buildings.
- 1925Founded with 14 members and a capital of 6 annas.
- Nine decades onOne of the largest workers' cooperatives in Asia.
- TodayMatterLab brings the same trust to independent materials testing.
